DIGITAL RCD TESTER
Residual current devices are designed to protect people
and property from the danger of electrical faults. As a result
they need to be tested at installation and during
maintenance.
The Digital RCD tester provides eighteen selectable test
options comprising of six RCD trip ratings from 5mA to
500mA and three test methods No Trip, Trip and Fast Trip.
The No Trip test is conducted at half of the rated trip current
and is designed to guard against nuisance tripping.
The Fast Trip test is desirable for RCD’s installed specifically
to minimise the risk of electric shock.
Testing at 0° and 180° allows measurement of maximum
and minimum tripping times.
Supplied with a fitted 3 pin plug to provide quick and
simple connection to circuits via general power outlets, the Digital
RCD tester will also conduct a test to warn against any
potential wiring problems.
